5. We also had a similar high-profile drug raid here a couple of years back

Cops bust down the door at like 5:30 in the morning and the guy thinks it's an invasion and opens fire the moment the door opens and kills a couple and wounds a couple more...The guy was a piece of shit and got a long sentence, but some ugly facts about the cops and how they handled the investigation came out:

1. The detectives' primary source of info was an informant who was a former friend/drug dealing partner of the shooter with an axe to grind...

2. The cops came with a small army armed to the teeth to serve the warrant

3. The detectives on at least one occasion strongly "encouraged" (without directly ordering) the informant to break into the shooter's home to snoop around while he and his family were out

4. The cops went in expecting to find Pablo Escobar living in a house made of bricks of coke and hundred-dollar bills, but when all was said and done all they found was some reefer, and not a whole lot of it, either...
