1. there are NO psych hospitals in Fresno

20 years ago there were at least 3 private and one county psych hospital.. There isn't even one in Fresno.

For the chronic and severely mentally ill, they either go to a state prison psych hospital about 2 hours away, or up to San Francisco which is 3 hours away.

It is horrific.
