In reply to the discussion: Pope Francis Expected To Instruct One Billion Catholics To Act On Climate Change [View all]Rozlee
(2,529 posts)44. He evidently doesn't follow the Catholic view that the Genesis account isn't literal.
Or he was too embarrassed to even admit that incest with siblings and other close relatives occurred, although he didn't have to look any further than Abraham and his half sister, Sarah. But, this priest acts more like an evangelical Christian than a Roman Catholic. Fox has had him on their financial programs, propping up capitalism and in one emotional outburst, he declared he would 'die' to keep the ACA from distributing birth control. He's a foxbot of the highest order. The fact that he was the theology consultant for Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ" doesn't help him any nor does the fact that he was Cardinal Dolan's protege.

I wonder if he is sincere? If he is, he'd reverse the opposition to birth control.

Most are unaware that Pope John XXIII established a birth control commission.
