I haven't seen that in anything I've read from AJ. I don't have a problem with anyone thinking and saying that some of the cartoons were vile, because while most of what I saw was tame, there were a few that weren't. Maybe it's a French thing coz I didn't get it. Opinions on whether the cartoons were offensive or not is irrelevant anyway as no-one deserves to be harmed or killed because of what they draw or write. The only folk who I suspect would disagree with that view are the terrorists fellow lunatics. The two in Germany today who tried to firebomb a newspaper office well and truly fall into that category. Y'know, when it comes to terrorism I can generally see what motivates attacks even though I find the attacks heinous. In this case I can't see it. I suspect that's because this is religious lunacy and others are politically motivated.
