Profits are necessary. It's when the upper class that run corporations "need" more and more and more that things get fucked up. Take for instance the fact that 25 or so years ago the average CEO salary was around 30 times that of the average worker. Now it's over 300 times that of the average worker. THAT is obscene greed - no CEO is worth that much more.
