3. I remember Molly Ivins, and you're right, she had a way with words too

and, like Jim Hightower, she also had a great sense of humor.

Although she was born in California; she was raised in Texas, and I'll bet she & Jim knew each other, and were most likely both big fans of popular Texas Gov. Ann Richards, who was defeated by George W. Bush (and that evil bastard Karl Rove with his lies & negative TV ads)

Regarding "W", she once wrote:
"Some days, I'd feel better with Punxsutawney Phil in the Oval Office -
at least he doesn't lie about the weather."

Molly Ivins was only 62 when she died.
