Benghazi provides a great example of how the alternative can backfire. There are some serious and troubling questions about Benghazi, but since the cause has been clumsily embraced by a bunch of right-wing nut jobs, it's virtually impossible to ask legitimate questions about it without being ridiculed and shouted down.

It's a bit like questioning the treatment of Palestinians on the Gaza Strip and being accused of being anti-Semitic if you're a goy and "self-loathing" if you're not.
