The left doesn't have a voice like the right. The right wing media industry is a single, massive, national booming voice without a counter, and that's the problem. As a result they control the messaging everywhere.

This is why the only areas where liberals have been successful is with social issues like equal rights. And that's because these are simple to understand, black and white (no pun intended) issues about basic human rights.
