I could understand if House republicans would remain detached from Trump with regard to the ethics if only because of separation of the three branches of government. Trump could threaten the Ethics Office to his heart's delight but he would expect and get no help from the legislative branch. Neutrality. Isolation. Independence.

But to have House republicans aid and abet possible criminal activity is beyond the pale.
