progressive when they looked at Hillary, someone too much like them, someone dangerously easy to identify with.

After all, we know that most women actually approve of reasonable progressive solutions to social problems too large to address individually. Many conservative churches engage in various progressive activities, just don't call them that. It was tremendously important to the string-pullers on the right that their voters not hear her.

"War on women" comes to mind...
