No! They ARE aresholes.
NO! They WILL do unto you that which you would not do unto them.
NO! They DO NOT have a better nature. AND...
NO! The world IS NOT a better place than it appears to be.

Compassion is fucking wasted on those who have no compassion for you.

If he's an arsehole, he's an arsehole and no amount of decent behaviour on your part will have the slightest positive effect on his behaviour towards you.
