I worked with the Deaf for many years, and volunteered at the State School for the Deaf.

It's interesting when you travel, you encounter different accents. Well, the same is true in the Deaf community, as Signs vary from place to place and it's always interesting to see how different parts of the country Sign certain words, phrases, etc. Some times you stumble across a Sign that's pretty benign in one place only to find it means something VERY different in another place. Causes some red-faced embarrassment, but it's a good way to break the ice !
