In the last two weeks, this Korean World War II veteran has made it his routine to wake up at dawn and begin his 12 miles trek to visit hospitalized wife because “I ain’t nothing without my wife, Waverlee, of 50 years.”
Waverlee is paralyzed and has battled brain cancer since 2009.
“It’s been a rough pull. It’s been tough. I can’t stand to see her up there like that,” emotional Yonger told Spectrum News.
