1. Kudos. This whole "issue" literally drips with the results of Patriarchy..usually just a dogwhistle.

Damn right it's about women literally Coming Out as leaders. Naturally, the first task is to split the ranks...a war reference. To criticize it's lack of perfection and polish and political correctness. Seemed to have worked well for a time...even here.

This photo and the accompanying article ought to be required reading as it describes the beginning of the actual realization of what these women envisioned.

My reference to ... "Under the leadership of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and other women's rights pioneers, suffragists circulated petitions and lobbied Congress to pass a constitutional amendment to enfranchise women." This was 1920. (link has expired...but well known, in any case.)

A 100 year anniversary of The Great War. Another 100 year anniversary shortly. Quite a historical juxtaposition. We solemnly and appropriately celebrate the millions of war casualities. But, perhaps it's AOC and her supporters who have been tasked with hoisting the banner of the "other" milestone.
