This is the behavior of a wealthy, powerful man, with friends in high places, who could insulate him from being held accountable for his deranged and predatory actions. That he held the fate of so many young hopefuls in his hands twists the balance of power to put him in complete control.

At the end of the day, he's still a power rapist.
