2. I can't say what happens with Federal cases,

but county and state cases issue very brief, fairly nonspecific questionnaires. Things like your relation to arresting officers, court officers, attorneys, whether you feel you have certain prejudices, and if you have been a victim of certain crimes (normally related to the case). I’ve never had a question regarding politics on the survey. More specific questions can be asked when they are weeding out who to keep or release, but it’s ridiculous to think those surveys played a part. At that point, you generally don’t even know what the case is about.
