The religious right is still sticking by Trump. Sadly, there's a long, grim pattern

1. The "religious" right isn't religious. Theology has little to do with

their priorities; the fundies are social conservatives who use religion to try to enforce their views on abortion, homosexuality, women's rights and race relations on everyone else, using the power of government with Jesus as an excuse - even though Jesus didn't mention those things but made a big deal out of looking after the poor, the sick, the prisoners and the strangers - people the fundies have no use for.
