before he's shown the door, which seems plainly deserved.

Although I would say there's SOME chance that Trump found out that the park was going to be cleared anyway, and decided to take advantage of the propaganda opportunity, to make it look like he's more powerful than the protesters.

He is moron in a lot of ways, but he's crafty about shit like this. He knew his base would love it, and it would get him on all the news channels. And if it was 'being done anyway', he could always use that as his excuse later.
