Those words are not in the Constitution, that's an interpretation, and not the only possible one from what the actual words are.

That's their argument in a nutshell, and it's not completely irrefutable. Just sayin'

That said, I believe a decision like this will stir up a hornet's nest as well, and I can easily see the massive protests (and gatherings supporting it) devolving into serious violence.

Maybe even civil war ... though I tend to doubt it.
