Queen Anne's Lace (Wild Carrot) grows everywhere in the Eastern US, and looks very similar to Hemlock, which is a deadly poison. It's very easy to confuse the two:

The best way to tell the difference is that the stems and leaves of Queen Anne's Lace are covered with small soft hairs, giving them a fuzzy appearance. The leaves and stems of Hemlock are smooth and hairless.
