I am a member and am 1/4 by blood. E Warren looks as Indian as I do. Unless she wanted to vote in tribal elections or receive health or education benefits, there is no compelling reason to go through the lengthy process to establish her degree of blood and then seek tribal membership.

To self identify your ethnicity is not the same as claiming tribal membership and getting BIA perks.
