That is, 20 minutes ago. Lots of tower fans going. I’ve been leaving a lot of lights off just to keep the heat in the house down — if it helps to conserve electricity for the grid, so much the better. We’ll leave a bunch of windows open overnight in hopes of a breeze, then close up again in the morning.

I am longing for the return of the cooling coastal fog…
