I dearly wish every American could somehow be made to take it in. "Made" sounds like force. That isn't what I mean, but if only they could all know this history inside and out. I fear the lapse in how it is fully taught or "digested," has led to this horrendous rise of white supremacy and antisemitism and the not-unrelated rise of anti-liberalism.

If we don't find an answer, our fate is sealed.
