Like those of Reality Winner, who exposed Russian interference in the 2016 election in favor of Trump. Or Chelsea Manning, who exposed US war crimes. Chelsea's sentence was commuted by Obama, but by that point her punishment had already far surpassed that of people who committed similar crimes for purely selfish reasons. She was never pardoned however.
