5. "Bodega Bay" is a real place in Northern California.

We went there many years ago and saw some of the sights used in the film, such as the schoolhouse and the restaurant. At the time, there were also several shops selling Hitchcock souvenirs.

But referring to Bodega Bay with quotes makes it look fictional. It isn't.
