11. A revered institute...

It's entire existence as far as I know. We used to go to Raymond Pond for summer outings. I think the house where Hawthorne lived was where he stayed while in school. I think it was James Fennimore Cooper or Herman Melville attended too. A couple miles from there is a house where Harriet Beecher Stowe lived at one point too. It was across the street from my first grade school, Nathaniel Hawthorne School.

We lived in and around Brunswick during a lot of my childhood. A lot of memories come up when I think about the place.

I don't hear about Bowdoin alum very often... and now I know about two!
