If I talked to a deranged lawyer who said they know that my next-door neighbor was going to murder me, and that I should therefore murder them first ... so I do ... I don't think I'm getting far in the courtroom with my pre-emptive self-defense argument. Esp. if I knew that I was the beneficiary on the neighbors life insurance policy.
