the woman must stay in the marriage. To stay in an abusive situation is unhealthy for child or woman. It reminds me of a part in the Bible where two men approached Jesus and asked who to follow and Jesus reply was to look at their fruits first...good advice...maybe staying in an abusive situation is a bad fruit.
I am a friend of a person who ministers to men in jail and he told me something that I had no idea of and that was most men in jail had bad relations with their fathers. Maybe men need to be helped to be a healthy mentally/emotionally personality to improve our society.
