Because I've seen it happen on too many occasions in recent years. Granted, it's not entirely their fault, a lot of the Gaza hysteria has been whipped up by social media trolls and chaos agents -- They just needed a bunch of well-meaning but gullible suckers to join in. That's how we ended up with kids setting themselves on fire and college kids hijacking city council meetings to talk about Gaza for an hour... (Seriously -- What the hell is a city council even supposed to do about another Arab-Israeli war?)

It was painfully obvious to see on Twitter which of the most vocal and volatile Gaza supporters had zero understanding of the 100+ year old Israel-Palestine Conflict, nor were they able to even find Gaza on a map until November of 2023. And I believe their antics did way more to hurt the cause of Palestine than they ever did to help it...
