But it didn't escape my notice that all the Gaza protests, matches, disruptions, traffic blocking and "river to the sea" chants have completely vanished now that the election is over. Has the fighting stopped? Was a peace agreement signed?

The cynic in me wants to say the fervor over Gaza was whipped up into a frenzy by certain people who have since faded into the background for the sole purpose of hurting Dems in the most consequential election of our lifetimes 🤔

Nevermind the fact that every time I ask why they aren't protesting the angry orange idiot -- You know, the guy who has an even worse policy towards Gaza, all I hear now are weak-assed excuses from the same people who called me an "apologist for genocide" all summer long. The cynic in me also wants to note that an almost similar phenomenon happened during the 2016 election with the anti-drone warfare crowd (The Intercept, especially)... I remember the usual suspects screeching that they couldn't ever vote for Hillary because she was a proponent of drone strikes and targeted assassinations against terrorists, and then Donnie's in office and conducts more drone strikes in four years than Bush and Obama did in 16 years combined but there wasn't a single peep of protest from them... Tried to find some of those "activists" who had called me a "warmonger and imperialist" a couple years later on Twitter including one really outspoken young Muslim lady interviewed in Salon or wherever and I couldn't find them anywhere. It was like they vanished off the face of the Earth. Why do you think they would just go completely silent if drone warfare was their #1 political issue? Is it not strange that both times these issues were used to splinter the Dem vote and help giftwrap elections to Donnie?

If people want freedom for Palestinians, fine... If people want to protest in favor of Palestinians, fine.... But people acting like nothing noteworthy ever happened between Israelis and Palestinians before October 7, 2023 while pretending to be experts on Gaza now are useful idiots and I got a huge problem with that.

Dems have to get better at recognizing obvious GOP/Russian disinfo ops... Because there will be another tidal wave of them coming in four years.
