1. To a certain extent, it's still good vs. evil, and art vs. pure profit

I'm not a fan of media consolidation. But if it's a choice between the two, one will try and turn the news and stories into a right-wing machine and the other won't. Plus, the current CEO of Warner values profit over art, and has literally destroyed a lot of film/TV works to benefit from an associated tax write-off for the "loss." He also pushed CNN more to the right. IMO, it would be a significant step up in delivery of artistic content and real journalism if Netflix takes over.

You can count on Netflix not to turn Warner into a propaganda machine. Oligarchy or not, I don't want my entertainment to be a mouthpiece for wannabe dictators. It's pretty gross that the author fails to acknowledge what is plainly evident.
