7. I doubt the Mormons provided much help. They are mostly bigots whose doctrine promotes white supremacy.

It's only been recently that their "revelations" have opened up their church to blacks, they once claimed blacks could not participate or be part of the priesthood because black skin was the mark of Cain. They dropped that to avoid criticism, and to expand their fundraising outreach. They are after political power, so whatever is expedient becomes part of the revelations their prophets get every year. They remain as bigoted and prejudiced against people of color as their white Evangelical counterparts are.
