agreements to cater to both sides of an argument is neither strength nor a mark of intelligence. To make cuts in government spending now is stupidity forced upon a public ignorant of macroeconomics. Maybe the President is forced to play this deficit fighting champion and maybe not, but there are one group of winners when the government is cut and that is the wealthy class that already owns most of our political system and the main street media. Dumbing down the public by our school and our main street media has already worked. Get educated people. You should not cut spending in a recession and government is the only one who will spend. There is no economic theory justifying the sequester and while I can appreciate the cuts in defense as keeping Lockheed Martin away from more ridiculous profits, cuts in total will help no one but the rich.
It is that hated Federal Reserve that is our only support at this point. Bernanke et al know it is their job both to to prevent economic downturns and fight inflation. How licky we are that Andrea Mitchells inept husband is gone from the fed and out of sight. You rock, Bernanke!!
