The Canadian author, Heather Pringle, wrote a book about the Ahnenerbe that helped to inform me about their "work". Other authors have contributed to that history over the years. Below is a review of her book by Science Shelf staff.

I respect the Canadian attempts to provide some justice to their citizens that were violated by all the US sponsored covert mind control "research".
In the US intelligence community that utilized PAPERCLIP personnel there were leaders like Richard Helms (who once had an exclusive interview with Adolph Hitler when a young UPI reporter btw) Helms was also a true believer in the goals of MKULTRA/MKSEARCH, he kept it going until he was spending all his time as Director CIA destroying records of all these programs that Alfred McCoy and many others have published about. Helms did this destruction of documentation during the post-Watergate era (Church/Pike investigations etc.) He failed to eliminate all of it.
I'll be posting more about all this history that needs to be heard later. I'll close with an excerpt from another book related to Operation PAPERCLIP and some of the research of the Ahnenerbe (the first acronymn, ORD refers to the CIA Office of Research and Development=Gottlieb et al)
"ORD also sponsored work in parapsychology. Along with the military services, Agency officials wanted to know whether psychics could read minds or control them from afar (telepathy), if they could gain information about distant places or people (clairvoyance or remote viewing), if they could predict the future (precognition), or influence the movement of physical objects or even the human mind (photokinesis). The last could have incredibly destructive applications, if it worked."

That quote refers to the Reagan years US intelligence community continuence of Ahnenerbe inspired projects like STARGATE.
