Thomas is at least smart enough to mostly follow the old maxim "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." While I do not agree with any of his decisions, he is at least consistent in his devotion to his incredibly warped world view. Thomas evokes a combination of pity and revulsion. He seems to have been stuck at the intellectual age of 12 years old. He must have been the subject of incredible amounts of molestation and abuse that he is in complete denial over. Every time I see him I wonder what caused his Stockholm Syndrome.

Scalia is the sociopath poster child. He is glib, charming and completely immune to any feelings of empathy. When speaking he is quite eloquent(while spewing completely repugnant ideas). He embraces every fascist concept to the fullest. He appears to ape Benito Mussolini. Unfortunately, like most sociopaths, Scalia is not stupid, just completely amoral. He obviously gets his jollies causing people pain. The hair on the back of my neck stands up whenever I hear him speak, his persona screams "Predator!".

Roberts seems to be slowly deteriorating intellectually. He never was a great intellect, but his opinions are growing increasingly disjointed and just plain weird. He seems not to notice how completely idiotic he sounds. His opinions on the VRA and the McCutcheon case are completely ridiculous. While people have been outraged by the decisions, we really need to point out how nutty his opinions are. These are signs of someone who is no longer capable of rational thought. Does he suffer from traumatic brain injury from playing football and from the nasty fall he took awhile back? He has had a couple of unexplained seizures, too. If his stupidity is caused by a medical condition, then I can feel pity for him. Otherwise, all he gets is scorn for his lack of intellect.
