I keep hearing these stories about how local law enforcement is getting old military equipment and it makes me think: "what else are they gonna do with it? Send it to China."

I haven't heard a lot of stories (any actually) about SWAT teams using excessive force. There are the stories about the police using excessive force against occupy folks, but not with armored vehicles.

Sure, we need to keep an eye on this trend, but if it's an issue of having equipment that will make our law enforcement personnel safer against gun nuts. I'm not opposed to it - they (law enforcement types) have families too.

In fact let's give a few armored vehicles to the BLM and assault any ranches (for example) in Nevada that don't feel obligated to pay their fees.
