4. I think this says all that needs to be said for the direction this country is headed on guns

People are tired of the news stories about a gun crazy with a gun threatening someone. They're tired of small children being massacred. They're tired of reading about all the accidental gun deaths by a gun owned by a "responsible" gun owner.

The public is tired of being told we're expected to trust all strangers when it comes to guns. We're supposed to trust that they'll do the right thing, and not shoot us and our loved ones dead on the spot because they're ____________________________ (fill in the blank).

The American people want responsible gun laws enacted. Those in Congress who won't listen won't retain their seats. It WILL happen. It has to happen to honor all the hundreds of thousands of innocent victims over the years. Those who survive must do this for them, because they can no longer do it themselves. Someone with the right to bear arms had their rights protected, but the dead people obviously did not have their right to life protected.
