Fox New's campaign to revoke Media Matters tax exempt status. [View all]





As if we needed any more proof of the hypocrisy that is Fox News, our friends at News Corpse have dug up an interesting tidbit. It seems the folks over at Fox were in love with the IRS a couple of years ago. The same network that is up in arms over this whole IRS “scandal” was all palsy-walsy with them when they wanted to attack a non-profit that they disagreed with.

In July of 2011, Fox was on a campaign to have Media Matters‘ non-profit status revoked. That’s right, the agency that they are pushing as totalitarian, bent on revenge against conservative and tea party groups, the agency that is a threat to America and freedomz!! Turns out that, two years ago, this same agency was a tool for Fox to use to persecute a group that made it their business to expose the lies and misrepresentations that make up most (if not all) of Fox‘s broadcast material.
