14. I hear you. Seriously, I do.

I do not like to think of myself as a hawk. I do not advocate war. I hate even the thought of advocating war.

But these are the facts: Western Civilization is completely dependent upon oil. Japan has no oil. France has no oil. Germany has no oil. The U.K. has oil fields in the North Sea, but even they are forced to import oil. Whether this is a good thing or not (and it almost certainly is a bad thing) is beside the point. Our allies rely on us to insure a steady supply of oil. Iran is a threat to that dynamic. Thus, we are well-positioned to crush Iran should the need arise.

I may not like it, but I do understand it.
