In reply to the discussion: Lawrence O'Donnell Blows Up At New Republic's Julia Ioffe Over Snowden [View all]he won, or seemed to win -- it's his show, he was asking the questions (or at least one or two were questions), shouting, belittling, etc. -- and she, as a polite guest and young reporter who presumably would like to be invited back or at least on to other shows, had to remain deferential and let him interrupt and loudly make unsupported assertions. He was so obnoxious though that she even broke that unwritten code of civility at one point and asked him (rhetorically because he either didn't hear or ignored her) if he had been to Moscow and reported from the streets {paraphrasing}.
Even though I'm not familiar with her background or work, I have a sense that in a real debate, she'd be the one winning by a "landslide", mixed as that metaphor may be.
