1. They'll "get over it"

after they start losing elections. They can go home and stew for a while as millions of uninsured people get health insurance.

And then we'll go forward towards single payer and they'll claim that the ACA is working perfectly so no need for socialism, and we can listen to them defend the law that they have fought tooth and nail for years and it won't make a lick of difference.
