1. God, I don't miss this one bit!

We left for Mexico a week or so ago, and I'm so glad I am away from that capitalistic BS materialism that has infiltrated our society to a sick, sadistic frenzy. I love to read of people who have written the commercialism OUT of the holidays. I am 66, and so bummed out at Christmas, I can't enjoy it any longer. It actually makes me depressed and ugly.

Here in Mexico it's what it should be....the season, family, a nativity scene, and maybe a visit to Church. But ALL that commerical BS is missing. You watch TV, and there is NONE of that Christmas "buy, buy, buy" crap at every commercial, unless it's a network from the States. Good riddance.

Christmas is a miserable time for me. Makes me want to be Jewish or Muslim, just to not have to be concerned with the nonsense. Bah, humbug~!
