Why would I waste my energy always being ashamed of where I'm from?

I actually like it here. The weather is good, and most of the people are friendly.

Yes, there are bigots and the republicans do in fact make all the noise, but there are also kind hearted souls who would give you their last dime if you needed it, so I try to keep my judgments to the really big, nasty stuff.
