Brit Hume's stuck-on-rage persona emerged following the suicide of his son, Sandy, who was allegedly distraught over the drubbing his putative lover, Bill Paxon, was receiving in his bid to unseat Newt Gingrich.

This has been a sixteen-year war that Brit's internalized in the most regrettable fashion. Rather than grieving and acceptance he's opted to lash out at the society he perceives created his flawed progeny.

Were he not such a bitter, despicable human one might feel a bit of pity.
