I agree with your 2nd point. Just look at how repubs went so hard to cancel food stamps and unemployment benefits...two things that stimulate the economy the most...especially this economy...and they know it...and you're right...anything to prevent Obama from looking good at all. Treasonous behavior...going against what is good for the country and making it's citizens suffer just to gain political power is completely anti democratic.. Doing a little bit better than the next guy in a 3rd world country should just make one paranoid of being robbed or spreading diseases. America is on a race to the bottom, slave wages, slave labor, without environmental protections but hey...gays can't get married. Nothing will get better until we get repubs out of office and money out of politics...and dissolve the corporate media.
