In the right wing black and white world view, they have to pick sides even when *sides* are precisely what is wrong with their perspective. What's so difficult about seeing everyone as human? Not difficult for you and me but for those who seek to gain at the expense of others, they have to do all they can to marginalize and dehumanize those they hurt. One would think being on the hurt end of persecution might give perspective and promote empathy. But apparently not.
