this. It is NOT Ok to invade someone's space and start screaming and waving your arms in their face. If someone physically touches you, then it's battery, which of course is worse, but verbal assault can be quite traumatic and do real harm to people. Think of it as a threat to commit bodily harm.

Of course, almost no one ever reports it, and if they did, they'd probably get laughed at by the cops, which is exactly why so many assholes think they can get away with it.

I'm really sorry you had to experience that.

That's why I just can't STAND crazed sports fans. They get a few beers in them, and they think they have the right to become animals.

And I'm sure many women feel the same way about being hailed on the street.
