6. Gun culture is mass insanity...

No, the real problem is gun nuts and their supporters believing that having a gun is self-defense – and perpetuating the myth. The whole premise is ludicrous. If someone wants to kill you with a gun, the only way you’ll be able to prevent it is to have your own gun trained on everyone at all times, every entrance/exit, everywhere, all the time. It’s called the element of surprise. And the major difference between “defending” yourself with a gun as opposed to pretty much anything else is that bullets tend to kill innocent bystanders. Openly carrying guns didn’t help the dead cops in Vegas, did it! Our gun culture is mass insanity! Owning anything more than a musket is second amendment fetishism.
