My husband and I just moved back to Houston, TX from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. While house hunting we went to one house that had a lady living there, I'd guess around mid 60's.
She would not open the door for us and our realtor until 15 minutes late when her own realtor arrived.
THEN, when she did open the door, she ran and hid in her bedroom behind a locked door without so much as a "hello".
As we walked through the place, there were American flags, and "don't mess with Texas" crap all over the house, along with framed photo's of Reagan, both bushes (one signed by "w"
, and in a glass display case right in her foyer, was a signed copy of Palin's book, and a signed photograph of (I'm guessing) her and Palin together.
Soooo, when we passed by the room where she was barricaded in, my husband and I, in the most "nelly" accent we could muster up started about all the places in her home that we was going to have sexual orgies with massive amounts of men in... loud enough where we knew she could hear everything. Our real estate agent was just about dying trying not to laugh, and even hers kind of smirked at some of our antics.
Needless to say, that wasn't the home we put a bid on.
