9. I have a friend that will climb (run) on open trusses over 40ft with fairly steep pitches.

You better have faith that whoever nailed them in, did so in a deliberate manner. I've seen a guy take a fall when someone with a nail gun missed a stretch. Luckily it was on the first floor and he fell into the basement with only a few scrapes and bruises.

I side on caution unless I'm the one that nailed it down.
